Part Time Caregiver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Part Time Caregiver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Alzheimer’s Care;
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation;
- Assistance with grooming and bathing;
- Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues;
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner;
- Complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen;
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards;
- Assists client with all personal care functions as needed;
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living – Bathing, Dressing, Toileting, Ambulation, Eating;
- Transportation/Shopping and Errands (i.e;
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary;
- Performs light housekeeping tasks and assists with laundry;
- Assist client to and from daily activites;
- Assist client at mealtime and monitor eating habits;
- Assisting with light housekeeping.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner;
- Comply with client privacy, confidentiality, and HIPPA Standards;
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, 50 lbs. or less as needed;
- We require health certificates and we run thorough background checks;
- Previous experience preferred but not neccessary. We will train the right individual;
- Dependable;
- Reliability, responsible attitude;
- Able to maintain professional boundaries;
- Enjoys variety in job duties;
- Must be 18 years of age;
- Be at least 21 years of age;
- Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services;
- 2 years’ experience as a care giver in an assisted living, memory care or home care setting;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Impeccable work ethic and attendance record.
