Our company is looking for a Patient Intake Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers medical documentation to support the patients’ treatments for further review;
- Performs insurance benefits verification in accordance with company policy for infusion services for assigned facilities;
- Follow-up on pending referrals, pre-certifications, and/or pre-determination;
- Reviews and approves assigned orders utilizing department guidelines;
- Performs pre-certification and obtains authorizations and referrals as required by payor guidelines and in accordance with OI Infusion procedures.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of insurance verification experience in the medical field;
- Organizational skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Obsessive focus on patient-experience;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
