Our company is looking for a Patient Intake Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers medical documentation to support the patients’ treatments for further review;
  • Performs insurance benefits verification in accordance with company policy for infusion services for assigned facilities;
  • Follow-up on pending referrals, pre-certifications, and/or pre-determination;
  • Reviews and approves assigned orders utilizing department guidelines;
  • Performs pre-certification and obtains authorizations and referrals as required by payor guidelines and in accordance with OI Infusion procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of insurance verification experience in the medical field;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Obsessive focus on patient-experience;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
