Our company is looking for a Patient Services Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming waiting room during business hours;
  • Collect cash and credit card payments from patients using established guidelines to determine patient pay portion and provide receipt of payment;
  • Ensure that accurate billing information is obtained and required referrals/authorizations are met;
  • Maintain and tabulate clinic data as needed;
  • Must be able to problem solve independently and as part of the team;
  • Assist in training new employees;
  • Answer call center phones on a rotating basis;
  • Schedule sleep studies determining appropriate location and resources based on specified standards;
  • Determine the existence of previous UMHS registration;
  • Schedule clinic visits and sleep studies for patients;
  • Obtain and update insurance, financial, and demographic information with the patient;
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication as well as customer service skills;
  • Adhere to established telephone management principles;
  • Confirm patient’s appointments;
  • Schedule new and return patient visits determining appropriate clinic provider based on specified standards.

Requirements:

  • Assists in training new employees;
  • Schedule sleep studies determining appropriate location and resources based on specified standards;
  • Computer knowledge;
  • Ensure that accurate billing information is obtained and required referrals/authorizations are met;
  • Maintain and tabulate clinic data as needed;
  • Must be able to problem solve independently and as part of the team;
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, proficient computer and keyboarding skills;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills;
  • Schedule new and return patient visits determining appropriate clinic provider based on specified standards;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Individual must exhibit a professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty and staff;
  • Bilingual preferred;
  • Schedule clinic visits and sleep studies for patients;
  • Obtain and update insurance, financial, and demographic information with the patient;
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication as well as customer service skills.
