Pharmacist Manager manages a group of pharmacists who, under the direction of a physician, compound and dispense prescribed drugs in a retail or healthcare facility environment. Oversees daily pharmacy operations. Being a Pharmacist Manager monitors and audits drug inventory, ensures compliance with all regulatory guidelines and reporting. Requires a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a Pharm.D. Additionally, Pharmacist Manager requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pharmacist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Pharmacist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 – 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Our company is looking for a Pharmacist Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages pharmacy inventory, out dates, return and audit counts as required including auditing controlled drugs;
  • Oversees financial performance including management of inventory, sales, payroll, expenses, and maximizing claim reimbursement;
  • Supervision of all pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians and drivers;
  • Ensure staff is properly trained for job functions, including customer service, problem and complaint resolution, management of patient profiles;
  • Performs patient counseling, Brown Bags, and supports all programs established to meet customer satisfaction and resource management.

Requirements:

  • Additional authorization to administer injectables or ability to obtain within three months of employment;
  • Prior experience with 340b programs a plus;
  • Familiarity with PDX pharmacy computer system a plus;
  • Pennsylvania Pharmacist licensure, active and in good standing required;
  • Demonstrated experience in pharmacy operations and management.
