Our company is looking for a Pharmacist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required;
  • Responsible for dispensing, record-keeping and reports;
  • Consults with physicians on patient medical history;
  • Maintains current knowledge of drug therapy;
  • Screens, checks and fills prescriptions, including the counseling of each patient;
  • Maintaining and restocking adequate supplies for Pyxis medstations;
  • Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged;
  • Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times;
  • Maintaining stock of up-to-date medications in all pharmacies;
  • Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment;
  • Entering prescriptions into the pharmacy’s prescription computer system and printing prescription labels;
  • Interpreting medical/dental staff prescription orders received through the BEMR CPOE;
  • Inventorying medications and supplies, recording items that are low in stock and advising chief/staff pharmacist of medicines that need restocking;
  • Selecting correct medications and filling prescriptions;
  • Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and how they interact with the human body;
  • Retail experience mandatory (Experience at a Walgreens, CVS, etc. is a plus);
  • Area: Ability to work in the Fresno, CA area;
  • Background/drug requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check and drug screen;
  • Schedule: Varies – Per Diem;
  • Education : R.Ph or Pharm D;
  • 1 year or more of current Pharmacy Manager experience;
  • Ability to provide clinical staffing for the functioning of the hospital pharmacy;
  • Completion of an ASHP- accredited residency and/or fellowship;
  • Clean and current MI Pharmacist License;
  • BLS within 90 days of employment;
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification;
  • Clear and current CA license;
  • Licensed pharmacist with 3 years acute care hospital experience within the last 5 years.
