Our company is looking for a Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Responds to emergency situations to help support the clinical and nursing E&T staff in delivery of services to the E&T guests;
- Provides first aid and CPR as needed;
- Provides nursing care following established nursing service objectives and standards;
- Completes charting entries as required and regulated by state and federal law;
- Distributes and documents medications (including narcotics) according to established standards and regulatory instructions;
- Ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed according to established guidelines and procedures.
Requirements:
- Responds to emergency situations to help support the clinical and nursing E&T staff in delivery of services to the E&T guests;
- Provides first aid and CPR as needed;
- Must be able to successfully re-certify in MDC’s physical intervention training on an annual basis;
- Provides nursing care following established nursing service objectives and standards;
- Must be able to successfully pass MDC’s physical intervention training within 30 days of hire;
- Ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed according to established guidelines and procedures;
- Completes charting entries as required and regulated by state and federal law;
- Distributes and documents medications (including narcotics) according to established standards and regulatory instructions;
- A current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Tennessee or Compact License;
- Willing to float to different units;
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in any discipline;
- Comfortable with working in a secure lock down facility;
- BLS certification;
- Must be able to attend Orientation beginning March 25th;
- Must be able to attend Orientation beginning August 14th.
