Our company is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in arrangement for coverage of psychiatric services if unavailable for extended period of time;
  • Notifies Mental Health Coordinator, Mental Health Director, or Health Services Administrator of requested schedule changes in scheduled coverage;
  • Maintains and shows proof of current State licensure and provides duplicate for personnel file;
  • Maintains continuing education requirements for continued medical practice in the State;
  • Effectively communicate with referring providers and client family members;
  • Provide medication management;
  • Provide psychiatric assessment;
  • Comfortable working with children & adolescents;
  • Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, routine exams, suture removal, and wound care, and managing infection;
  • Participates in Performance Improvement Initiatives;
  • Evaluates and treats patients in our care as needed for medical issues including patient education;
  • Evaluates and manages detox regimes for patients in our care including writing orders and follow-up treatment as indicated;
  • Provide regularly scheduled psychiatric patient care. Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with behavioral health disorders;
  • Comfortable working with all ages.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited educational institution is required;
  • Experience providing evaluation and evidence-based psychotherapy with a broad spectrum of clinical presentations;
  • Hold a valid DEA;
  • ANCC – Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) certification is required;
  • Ability to build rapport and establish a strong therapeutic working relationship with clients;
  • 1 – 3 years experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner;
  • Must maintain current BLS certification;
  • Post Graduate Degree – Masters in Psychiatric Nursing;
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner;
  • Clear Licensure;
  • Desire for working with Psychiatric patients;
  • Current Wisconsin license as an Advanced Practice Nurse and maintain good standing on the BRMH Medical Staff;
  • Active MN PMHNP Licensure;
  • Suboxone Waiver;
  • Must be an AZ licensed PMHNP.
