Psychiatrist (Physician #) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Psychiatrist (Physician #) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Documentation of inmate’s consent to treatment on the appropriate form to be placed in the health record when psychotropic medication is prescribed;
- Documentation of all psychiatric evaluations and/or treatment in inmate’s health record utilizing approved psychiatric templates/forms;
- Responsible to provide psychiatric services as required and within the standards of professional psychiatric and medical care;
- Responsible to provide documentation of psychiatric services to permit monitoring of compliance with policies and procedures of CCS;
- Performs other duties as assigned;
- Evaluation and treatment in a timely manner of inmates referred for psychiatric services by mental health or medical staff.
Requirements:
- PhD/MD Graduate of accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO);
- Completion of accredited residency and fellowship if required by specialty;
- Current PA MD licensure in good standing; current unrestricted DEA certificate.
