Our company is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted;
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations;
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history);
  • Explains procedures to patient to ensure understanding. Provides appropriate educational material;
  • Prepares and positions patients for imaging and selects exposure factors accurately;
  • Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately;

Requirements:

  • Skill in obtaining and maintaining accurate medical records;
  • Ability to work well with others and be willing to help when needed;
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred but not required;
  • Maintains the strictest confidentiality of patient information;
  • Basic Computer skills;
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist program is required;
  • Ability to multi-task with patients and other responsibilities;
  • Knowledge of medical terminology;
  • Ability to initiate and complete tasks related to job duties without direct request of a supervisor;
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty related to examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities satisfactorily;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and show patience with patients;
  • Massachusetts state licensure in Radiography is required;
  • Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two year period, for re-certification and licensure;
  • 1 year of X-Ray Tech experience;
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
