The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) prepares and arranges needed tools and instruments for scheduled procedures. Assists with oral surgery and other procedures under the direct supervision of a dentist. Being a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) may record findings, change barriers, or sterilize equipment. Hands necessary tools and equipment to the dentist and provides assistance during treatment. In addition, Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) requires an associate’s degree from an accredited program. Typically reports to a dentist. Working as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.

Our company is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant RDA to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tray set-up and sterilize instruments;
  • (RDA) Place, wedge, and remove matrix;
  • (RDA) Test pulp vitality;
  • Oral evacuation and retraction;
  • Pass and receive instruments needed by Dentist for dental procedures;
  • (RDA) Place bases and liners on sound dentin;
  • (RDA) Coronal polishing;
  • Assist with reception desk with scheduling appointments or answering phones when not assisting patients;
  • Take x-rays, develop and mount them for Dentist review;
  • Seat patients, prepare them for Dentist visit and provide exceptional customer service, making them feel comfortable and valued;
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment;
  • (RDA) Size crowns and bands;
  • Ability to take great impressions and pour models;
  • Documentation and charting on computer software;
  • Provide excellent chairside assisting to our doctors.

Requirements:

  • Contracted 6 months and renewable;
  • Weekly Pay;
  • Must have Clean Background;
  • Must have a current and active California RDA license;
  • Must have current and active BLS from American Heart Association;
  • Schedule Mon- Fri, 730am- 330pm;
  • Must have at least 1-year RDA experience within the last 3 years;
  • Provide excellent patient care on a professional level;
  • Self starter and very motivated;
  • Ability to follow directions;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in dentistry;
  • Friendly and organized;
  • Positive attitude.
