Registered Dental Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Adheres to HIPAA, the Privacy Act as mandated by Federal or State law;
- Sterilize and maintains dental instruments (dentist or hygiene instruments);
- Other duties as assigned;
- Must set up and clean operatory before and after each patient;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Maintain the highest level of infection control standards;
- Accurately updates patient’s chart for each visit in the EMR;
- Cleans dental units, chairs, instruments and operational tools;
- Taking digital radiographs;
- Identifies and escorts patients to the operatory;
- Must follow OSHA and VSHWC policy and procedures.
Requirements:
- At least 2+ years of experience working with GPs, Specialists, or Hygienists;
- X-Ray and CPR/BLS certification from the state you will be practicing in (if required);
- Certified Registered Dental Assistant in the state of California;
- Working knowledge of approved Dental Assistant functions;
- Strong communication and customer service skills;
- Experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds;
- Must possess a license from the Michigan Board of Dentistry;
- One year of experience working in a dental office;
- Radiology licensure;
- Graduation from an accredited dental assistant course, including current certification and registration as a dental assistant;
- Should have some computer knowledge, keyboard skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture that respects and advances diversity and inclusion;
- Dental Anesthsia Assistant National Certification.
