Our company is looking for a Registered Dietician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises workers engaged in preparation and serving of meals;
  • Respond to all staff, family members and residents in a courteous, patient and caring manner;
  • Plans menus and modifies diets providing required food and nutrients to feed individuals and groups;
  • Formulates menus for therapeutic diets based upon indicated needs and doctor’s orders. These are integrated with the basic menu of the Home;
  • Inspects work areas and storage facilities to insure proper observance of sanitary standards;
  • Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to policies and procedures;
  • Establishes and maintains standards of palatability and appearance of Resident’s meals;
  • Responsible for all required Dietary documentation;
  • Is responsible, along with the Director of Food Service for orientation and schedule planning for employees of the Dietary Department;
  • Consults nursing and social service staff concerning problems affecting patients food habits and needs;
  • Counsels individuals and groups in application of principles of nutrition;
  • Communicate in a positive and helpful manner;
  • Respect the dignity of each person;
  • Perform other related duties as directed;
  • Conducts inservice training programs for employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field required;
  • Certified Diabetes Educator preferred;
  • Registered Dietician with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record preferred;
  • Acute care and long term care experience is preferred;
  • Minimum one year of experience in Diabetes Education preferred;
  • Current Dietetic certification with the State of Wisconsin required.
