Registered Nurse (Part Time) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Registered Nurse (Part Time) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with physicians, staff and other medical professionals;
- Administer medications, provide vaccinations and render treatment to patients;
- Create and contribute to patients’ medical records as needed;
- Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff members;
- Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients, and their care team members or guardians, as needed;
- Collaborate with physicians to create a Plan of Care for each patient;
- Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment;
- Responding to E-mails;
- Calling medical providers to arrange patient referral visits, calling pharmacies to fill/refill patients’ prescriptions, etc;
- Providing concierge service to patients;
- Aiding the medical assistant as needed;
- Triaging patients and conducting venipuncture, EKGs, and additional lab work;
- Tending to a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls;
- Manually filing paper documents.
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support and ACLS certification;
- Training in conscious sedation and equipment used within the procedure room;
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience;
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office, EMR EPIC;
- CRP Certification with American Heart Association;
- Experienced pediatric nurses highly preferred;
- Must have or be eligible for DE Nursing License;
- Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents;
- BSN preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service;
- Must be current AHA ACLS and PALS certified for Bagdad practice;
- One year of RN experience in a medical setting;
- Must hold a current, valid Arizona or compact state RN license;
- Must be current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified;
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred.
