Our company is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs;
  • Instructs and educates patients and families;
  • Orients and mentors new staff members;
  • Carries out physician orders;
  • Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team;
  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems;
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required;
  • Provides age and culturally appropriate care;
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities;
  • Ensures that all physician orders for patients under their care are noted and correctly transcribed;
  • Facilitates and helps to promote a positive working environment;
  • Demonstrates an on-going knowledge of hospital and unit performance improvement processes and participates in the process;
  • Independently assesses and evaluates patient needs;
  • Basic life support training should be completed in 90 days with advanced training required at certain intervals;
  • Davids Healthcare Partnership through a positive interaction with all visitors on the unit.

Requirements:

  • ACLS;
  • CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse);
  • BLS;
  • Must have at least 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse;
  • Must have an Active RN License to practice in the State;
  • Must have at least 3 years experience as a Med Surg Nurse;
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse;
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred;
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from an accredited nursing program;
  • Basic life support training should be completed in 90 days with advanced training required at certain intervals;
  • You’ll also need a current RN license in our state;
  • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
