Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate clearly and directly with patients; provide emotional support to patients and family members under stress;
- Administering Medication;
- Fill out and update patient documents and charts;
- Encourage and support fellow team members to reach common goals;
- Emotional support;
- Place the needs of our clients first;
- Team player;
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
- Ensure medical records are up to date;
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisory staff;
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care;
- Take vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, etc;
- Collect, track, and maintain patient history; record any new data;
- Take instruction from and report updates to registered nurse/overseeing physician;
- Report any unusual or drastic changes in patient behavior/symptoms; seek help from superiors when needed.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; great bedside manner;
- Understanding of standard medical practices and procedures;
- Ability to work some evenings, holidays, and weekends;
- The ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment;
- A Valid nursing license in the state of PA is required;
- Bachelor’s and/or associate’s degree in nursing or related field;
- Acceptance of philosophy, mission, and goals of Firely Services;
- Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN ) Current VA State License, Registered Nurse (RN) Current VA State license;
- Current CPR Certification;
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray;
- One year prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience preferred;
- Ability to Work Independently with access to RN Supervisor.
