RN/LPN Charge Nurse Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a RN/LPN Charge Nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Routinely performs rounds to verify residents are in a safe and comfortable environment and receiving planned care;
- Updates the care plan with change in resident status and communicates changes to licensed and direct care staff;
- Performs resident reviews on admission, monitors the health status on a continuing basis, and documents all findings in the electronic clinical record;
- Assists in and provides assistance with activities of daily living of the residents;
- Administers and documents medication, treatment, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and the resident plan of care;
- Responds to and documents resident and family concerns and actions taken;
- Supervises, assigns and assists in the nursing activities of the direct care staff.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a licensed Nurse in good standing in the state in which the facility is located;
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
- BLS certified;
- Possess leadership skills;
- Ability to prioritize and make sound nursing decisions within scope of practice;
- Current or eligible for certifications in Cardio/Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR);
- Clinical experience;
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), in good standing;
- Interest in working with geriatric patients;
- Basic Computer skills;
- Current State License;
- Completion of a state approved Licensed Program;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
