Our company is looking for a RN to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team;
- Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu;
- Provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team;
- Maintains the confidentiality of inmate records;
- Assists in implementing individual treatment programs in the Health Care Unit and, as necessary, in the housing unit;
- Implements medical plan through administering medications and intervention in accordance with physician instructions;
- Respects dignity and confidentiality of patients;
- Administering injections of medications;
- Assists in maintaining working and living areas and supplies in good order;
- Applies and changes dressings;
- Implements clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies and procedures;
- Serve on the safety committee;
- Teaching the people we serve to monitor their health and take their medication as appropriate;
- Accepts constructive criticism in stressful situations;
- Assists with activities of daily living with special attention to therapeutic significance.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an RN in a nursing community;
- CPR certification strongly desired;
- Active RN License;
- Ability to work flexible hours;
- Must have 1 Year of Long Term Care/SNF experience;
- American Heart Association issued BL;
- Active Applicable State Licensure;
- Valid state RN certification;
- BLS certified;
- Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred;
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance;
- Ability to lift between 20 and 50 pounds and provide CPR after certification;
- Clinical experience;
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations;
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing.
