Our company is looking for a Surgical Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops a bond with patients ensuring they feel welcomed, understood and appreciated not only during consultation but day of surgery as well;
  • Provides a great patient experience while achieving company set conversion metrics;
  • Delivers high customer satisfaction (always friendly and helpful);
  • Educates and assists patients in selecting services;
  • Creates, reviews, and completes surgical chart;
  • Arranges for pre-op testing;
  • Send surgery request with CPT codes to insurance company, as well as, call to confirm patient’s benefits and eligibility;
  • Puts together pre-op paper work with instructions and explains instructions to patient;
  • Tending constantly to the phone and resolving patient requests or issues;
  • Schedules patients for surgery in person or over the phone;
  • Calls for required prior authorizations;
  • Communicates constantly with assigned surgeon and facility personnel for scheduling purposes;
  • Authorize cases with insurance;
  • Coordinating pre-op and post-op appointments;
  • Communicating with hospitals to perform all necessary pre-operative requirements.

  • Experience with NextGen;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Computer literate;
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish;

  • Excellent communication skills with patients over the phone and in person;
  • Enthusiastic team player;
  • Must be extremely organized;
  • Experience in the medical field is a strongly preferred.
