Apartment Maintenance Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and inspect boiler and storage rooms;
- Removing bulk trash (including appliances);
- Minor drywall damages;
- Resolve electrical, plumbing and appliance repair;
- Light plumbing & electrical;
- Ability to physically manage painting, pressure washing, blower breezeways and parking lots;
- Prepare and fulfill turnover checklists;
- Lock installations;
- Comply with OSHA regulations;
- Electrical repairs;
- Performs work area clean up and safety related duties;
- It will be your job to provide fast, friendly, and high quality maintenance service for our residents;
- Prepare vacant apartments for our next resident by carefully inspecting, evaluating, and making any necessary repairs;
- HVAC repairs (if HVAC/EPA Certified);
- Provide excellent customer service to residents.
Requirements:
- Six months onsite apartment or hotel/hospitality maintenance experience preferred;
- General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service;
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally;
- HVAC Certification a plus;
- Ability to work day, weekend, and evening hours as required;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Outgoing, self-motivated, and highly RELIABLE a must;
- Must have own tools;
- Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions, including reaching, bending, or carrying;
- Working environment is typically outside;
- HVAC / EPA Certification a PLUS;
- Specialty tools will be provided, but must have own hand tools;
- One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance and/or mechanical repair;
- HVAC experience required;
- Apartment maintenance experience a plus.
