Auto Body Collision Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Auto Body Collision Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Examine cars based on customer statements and determine appropriate repairs needed;
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, checking fluid levels and rotating or balancing tires;
- Present and explain estimates to complete repairs;
- Replace or repair worn parts as needed;
- Participate in developing a proper repair plan for each vehicle;
- Repair collision damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and company standards;
- Work in harmony with the production schedule including meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
- Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills;
- Knowledge of tools and equipment being used to repair vehicles;
- Previous experience as an auto body and collision technician a plus;
- Excellent verbal communication skills;
- High production capabilities;
- 2-5+ years of collision repair experience;
- Above average quality focus;
- I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a bonus;
- Ability to properly complete light to heavy repairs, including structural work.
