Bench Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Bench Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Stay up to date with technology through ongoing education;
- Work with the team and escalate as needed with the assistance of management;
- Configure and deploy new devices and systems for clients;
- Implement low risk, well understood changes using existing tools and processes;
- Maintain and update system documentation and service ticket records;
- Follow standard operating procedures as documented in the Knowledge Management System;
- Troubleshoot and repair end user devices and systems in a bench environment.
Requirements:
- Basicexperience withworkstation hardware, software, and operating systems;
- Provide clients with a positive experience with each interaction;
- Experience with advanced infrastructure, virtualization, and storage is a plus but not required;
- Function effectively in a high paced environment;
- Experience with cloud solutions such as Office 365 and Dropbox is a plus but not required;
- Meet client and corporate expectations for attendance, quality, and performance;
- Experience withswitches, routers, and firewalls is a plus but not required;
- Make effective use of time and complete tasks efficiently and on time;
- Experience with server hardware, software, and operating systems is a plus but not required;
- Able to work with a team and communicate effectively;
- Basic experience with networking conceptssuch as TCP/IP,DNS,and DHCP.
