Body Shop Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Body Shop Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead by example;
- Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and accurately;
- Monitor technician’s daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records;
- Estimating in CCC;
- Establish and maintain good working relationship with insurance adjusters;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Take the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction, even if it requires overcoming obstacles;
- Familair with assessing DRP’S;
- Possess ambition to Grow Derpartment;
- Other responsibilities as assigned by dealership General Manager;
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization;
- Direct and schedule the activities of the Body Shop;
- Perform as a mentor;
- Present self as a role model by demonstrating leadership and commitment to the customer, dealership, and manufacturer;
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with several insurance adjusters.
Requirements:
- Ability to manage others;
- Strong writing and communication skills;
- Two years of supervisory experience;
- Experience with CCC One Estimating System;
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume;
- Excellent communication, supervisory and managerial skills;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
- Clean and valid driver’s license;
- Are able to work in a fast-paced work environment;
- Three+ years experience in the automotive industry (specifically in service and repairs);
- Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity;
- Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines;
- Have strong organizational and time management skills;
- Five years of experience in a Collision Repair Facility;
- State Certifiaction Unitized Body Repair and Mechanicle Related prefered.
