Our company is looking for a Body Shop Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate status of repairs clearly to Body Shop Manager;
  • Mixes polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas;
  • Chains or clamps frames and sections to alignment machines that use hydraulic pressure to align damaged components;
  • Fills small dents that cannot be worked out with plastic or solder;
  • Sands body areas to be painted and covers bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from the paint;
  • Reviews damage reports, prepares or reviews repair cost estimates, and plans work to be performed;
  • Perform all job duties requested from management;
  • Perform all body and fender repairs utilizing welding, body alignment and structural operations;
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy;
  • Ensures that customer�s cars are kept clean;
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality;
  • Act as liaison between department staff and sales managers to facilitate the process for new and pre-owned vehicles;
  • Check parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received;
  • Operate all equipment in Body Shop in a safe and productive manner.

Requirements:

  • Certifications listed above or equivalent experience and eagerness to improve;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • ICAR certification or will to pursue required;
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities;
  • Interpersonal/communication skills and customer service skills;
  • Basic Computer skills;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Communicate status of repairs clearly to Body Shop Manager;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
  • Customer service, computer & organizational skills;
  • Ability to read, analyze & interpret technical procedures;

  • ASE Certifications a plus but not required;
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
