Our company is looking for a Building Mechanic to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance contractors to provide needed services. Initiate purchase order for parts and machines;
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial trucks;
  • Manage company’s fire suppresion / prevention systems;
  • Cleans and lubricates parts;
  • Manage security system;
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble;
  • Starts devices to test their performance;
  • Manage plumbing & carpentry repairs;
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts;
  • Repairs electrical equipment throughout the building;
  • Provide estimates of time and material costs on projects and activities;
  • This role is currently a rotating shift and requires flexibility in work hours;
  • Operate, maintain, and repair compressed air systems including compressor packages, dessicant dryers, valves, and associated control systems;
  • Operate, maintain, and repair building control devices including pneumatic valves, thermostats, controllers, relays, and transmitters;
  • Operate, maintain, and repair chilled water systems including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and control systems.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience is preferred;
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and background check;
  • Will help others create the best solutions by gathering data, suggesting alternatives, and knowing when and how to ask for help;
  • Basic understanding of widely used PC applications (word processing & spreadsheet);
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Must have Preventive Maintenance experience;
  • Must have ability to work with chemicals, paints, and solvents;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Prior experience with machine repair and set up, conveyor systems;
  • Familiar with cGMP’s, regulatory guidelines, governmental codes, and standard operating procedure;
  • High School Diploma;
  • 5 years experience engineering or maintaining industrial process or utility equipment;
  • The ability to work rotating shift work.
