Carpenter / Handyman Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Carpenter / Handyman to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed;
- Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions;
- Complete small to medium repairs, remodeling, and home improvement projects;
- Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required;
- Insure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment;
- Communicate with customers about scope of work and cost estimates;
- Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition;
- Perform various types of home improvement/ maintenance work; including residential and commercial work;
- The handyman/carpenter will also trouble shoot, repair and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment;
- (Strong multi-skill background desired. Must have/own day to day tools of the trade);
- Leave customers thrilled with your current work, and open doors to future work;
- Communicate with customers about scope of work, cost estimates, manage expectations;
- Deliver a consistent & remarkably better customer experience when working in their home;
- Complete small to medium maintenance/repairs and mid-size home improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Must have own tools fit for many job types;
- Strong carpentry background;
- Build strong relationships with the customers you serve;
- Successful prior track record as a Handyman/Carpenter/Craftsman ; estimation skills experience, strongly preferred;
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
- Communicate with customers about scope of work, cost estimates, manage expectations;
- Leave customers thrilled with your current work, and open doors to future work;
- Deliver a consistent & remarkably better customer experience when working in their home;
- Tools to perform and complete multiple trades;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Professional appearance and demeanor;
- Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and general public;
- Minimum of 7 years experience as a handyman or carpenter;
- Strong multi-skill background desired. Must have/own day to day tools of the trade.
