Our company is looking for a Computer Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and service software and hardware;
  • Create and manage documentation of resolved issues;
  • Assist with and resolve system errors;
  • Complete the installation and relocation of computers and peripherals;
  • Ensure the use of manufacturer and security best practices;
  • Sell Boost Mobile Phones and accessories;
  • Provide departmental project support;
  • Diagnose and perform remedial actions to provide resolution for assigned service requests;
  • Upload products to our website;
  • Work with vendors on warranty system repairs as well as new technology implementations;
  • Work on-call shifts on a rotational schedule to provide urgent after-hours support for customers in support of University systems;
  • Adhere to hardware and software inventory policies and procedures;
  • Maintain compliance with established security, hardware replacement cycles, and software licensing on all university-owned computers;
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and individuals within ITS;
  • Engage in professional development, continuous learning, and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage time effectively;
  • Experience working as a computer technician;
  • Great knowledge of computer security;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • CompTIA A+ certification desired;
  • Experience installing and maintaining computer software and peripherals;
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware and related troubleshooting and repair;
  • Must have transportation;
  • Available for infrequent travel to technical conferences and PLNU regional centers;
  • Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of the university;
  • Strong in Adobe Photoshop;
  • Current Apple and/or Microsoft certifications strongly desired;
  • Adept in re-writing product descriptions;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required;
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
