Our company is looking for a Diesel Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by supervisor;
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk;
  • Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management;
  • Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures;
  • Operate all equipment in shop;
  • Use electrical test equipment and computer testing equipment;
  • Log time for performance of repairs/services/production on vehicles as instructed;
  • Replaces and/or adjust headlights, lighting systems etc. and installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors and windshield wipers;
  • Rewires ignition systems, lighting systems, instrument panels, etc;
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
  • Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair;
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events;
  • Assist in taking inventory as required (quarterly, annually, etc.);
  • Overhauls or replaces engines, transmissions, differentials, injectors, blowers, alternators, starters and or pumps, etc;
  • Relines and adjust brakes, aligns front end, repairs and/or replaces shock absorbers and other suspension parts.

Requirements:

  • Teammate with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team;
  • Self-motivated and professional;
  • Possess own tools;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • CDL certification preferred;
  • ASE Certification preferred;
  • Experience with Cummins, Eaton, Detroit, Western Star;
  • Experience with electrical and fuel systems components specific to medium duty commercial trucks;
  • Self-motivated and professional Possess own tools;
  • Possess basic computer skills;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Self starter, punctual and reliable;
  • Able to obtain a medical card as required by the Department of Transportation;
  • ASE certification preferred CDL certification preferred;
  • OEM certification.
