Entry Level Service Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Entry Level Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed;
- Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters;
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs;
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership;
- Keep shop area neat and clean;
- Check tire pressure and add air if needed;
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary;
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
- Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem;
- Drive the vehicle for testing purposes;
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles;
- Learn how to Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
- Take ASE Certification Assessment;
- Works effectively with and follows lead of department management;
- Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements:
- Basic Computer skills;
- Excellent customer service skills;

- Willingness to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications;
- Strong physical dexterity for working with tools;

- Knowledge of automobiles;
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;

- Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred;
- Valid driver’s license;
