Our company is looking for a Express Lube Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs;
  • Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops-off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required;
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs;
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules;
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required;
  • Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks;
  • Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed;
  • Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates;
  • Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage;
  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable;
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively;
  • Portray a positive image of Jenkins Ford and actively participate in the creation of a positive, professional work environment;
  • Complete additional technical training as available and/or required;
  • Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired;
  • Perform oil changes on Ford and many other makes of vehicle to spec;
  • Move cars from the lot into and out of the shop safely for repair;
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance;
  • Safety and customer service oriented;
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
  • Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve;
  • ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred);
  • Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates;
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
