Express Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Express Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Check tire pressure and add air if needed;
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
- Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants;
- Paid time off and vacation;
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules;
- Work with your team to prepare and service vehicles efficiently;
- Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs;
- Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops-off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required;
- Long term job security;
- Perform oil changes, check batteries, and top off fluids;
- Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem;
- Maintain, clean and repair maintenance equipment as required;
- Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates;
- Keep his/her work shop clean and orderly as required;
- Perform fluid flushes and other routine maintenance as required.
Requirements:
- Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve;
- ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred);
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
- Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired;
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance;
- Safety and customer service oriented;
- Must be available from 7:15 Am until 6:00 pm;
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions;
- Professionalism/Work Ethic;
- Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem;
- Ability to exercise good judgment;
- In-Dealership work experience;
- Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates;
- Must be available Monday thru Friday.
