Ford Service Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Ford Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs road tests for diagnosis of clients’ complaint and verification of repair;
- Performs other duties as assigned;
- Works as a team along with the Service Advisors communicating clients’ vehicle needs;
- Attends manufacturer specific training classes;
- Performs line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and full automotive troubleshooting and testing;
- Continuously expand your knowledge for new technologies and practice;
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment;
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements:
- High school and/or trade school education required;
- Great mechanical, diagnostic, and electrical skills;
- Must have basic computer skills necessary to use factory software;
- Must have a valid Driver’s License;
- Ford certifications preferred;
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve;
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination;
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
- Pennsylvania State Inspection License required;
- B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair;
- High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required;
- Ford certification required (or the ability to obtain Ford certification);
- Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively;
- Must have own tools;
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
