Our company is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk;
  • Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by supervisor;
  • Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management;
  • Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist;
  • Pre-deliver, inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment;
  • Prepare accurate inspection and service reports and maintain other records as required;
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction equipment and heavy truck/trailer maintenance;
  • May be required to operate equipment to determine proper operation and safety functionality;
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction;
  • Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company;
  • Read job order, observe and listen to machine in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures;
  • Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins;
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it runs smoothly;
  • Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures;
  • Show the utmost courtesy to all customers and dealership personnel.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Hydraulic and electrical maintenance experience is required;
  • Must have own tools;
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations;
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing No DUI past 5 years;
  • 3+ years of Heavy Equipment maintenance experience;
  • ideal Heavy Equipment Mechanic certification or AAS degree preferred;
  • Ability to read blueprints;
  • Some travel required;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • A two year technical degree may be used in lieu of 2 years of verifiable technical employment;
  • Ability to deal with problems and troubleshoot accordingly;
  • Electrical and Mechanical aptitude;
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction equipment and heavy truck/trailer maintenance.
