HVAC Service Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a HVAC Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends required;
- Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation;
- Basic electric understanding;
- Assist sales team as needed in technical sales presentations;
- Provide support in warehouse when necessary;
- Promote service sales as a part of supporting customer on service/start up calls;
- Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety;
- Travel to homes and businesses on a daily basis as scheduled;
- Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, etc;
- Repairing complete systems;
- Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis;
- Basic heat load calculations;
- Servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction;
- Fabricating and installing Duct work in both commercial and residential settings;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license;
- 2-4 years experience;
- Ability to work independently in a team environment is required;
- Basic understanding of electricity;
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check;
- Must hold state driver’s license;
- Hard-working and motivated;
- Attention to detail and good analytical skills;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with customers and co-workers;
