Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment;
- Maintains electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, and ammonia systems;
- Performs repairs on production equipment, loading doors and docks, waste water equipment, and building;
- Safely operates hand tools, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts;
- Strive to perform work in a timely manner, reducing machine down time to a minimum;
- Troubleshoot & Perform repairs on bag machinery and support equipment as directed by maintenance supervisor;
- Read and interpret most schematics for electrical, mechanical, piping, fabrication and construction projects;
- Performs other duties as needed;
- Check with Production Foreman and Supervisor to coordinate work;
- Participates and support in TPC related functions in order to meet efficiency standards;
- Communicate with A/C and planner any work that may need to be rescheduled for the next week;
- The practical knowledge of tools and materials of the mechanical trade;
- Actively supports an inclusion culture with significant interaction with Quality, Technical Operations, Engineering and other support groups;
- Operate man lift at heights of up to 80’;
- Computer literacy and ability to work in a paperless environment.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a similar role;
- Pipefitting;
- Electro-pneumatic troubleshooting;
- Part rebuilding;
- Associate’s / AOS Degree in a Mechanical Discipline OR High School Diploma/GED with Military Machinist Training Course;
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
- Familiarity with (or ability to learn) most of the following;
- Machining;
- Ability to read blue prints and troubleshoot;
- Excellent team player and work ethic;
- Or must have four (4) years of military experience performing in a multi-craft Mechanical Maintenance role, within the past five (5) years;
- Or received an equivalent level degree in a Mechanical Maintenance Degree Program;
- A resume outlining qualifications and experience must be submitted to be considered for this position;
- Must have four (4) years of industrial experience performing in a multi-craft Mechanical Maintenance role, within the past five (5) years;
- Applicants must meet the ANSI fall protection requirement.
