Journeyman Millwright Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Journeyman Millwright to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Constructing the foundation for machines and equipment using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel;
- Must be willing to travel;
- Must be able to Mig, Tig, Stick and Flux weld;
- Iron working experience a plus;
- Installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors and programmable controllers;
- Troubleshooting press machines, Fanuc robotics, and several automated electrical components;
- Diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and gear boxes and then replacing the damaged parts;
- Conveor Belt Maitenince;
- Mechanical knowledge & aptitude;
- Additional safety training a plus (OSHA-10 / OSHA-30);
- Experience in Conveyour belts;
- Maintenance and repair of machinery for a shop;
- Forklift, Crane, Heavy Equipment exp. a plus;
- Welding a plus;
- CPR/FA/AED a plus.
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Drug free at all times;
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;
- 4 years of experience working as a Millwright;
- 6+ years of experience working as a Millwright;
- 5+ years of experience working as a Millwright;
- 8 years of experience working as a Millwright;
- OSHA 10 or 30;
- Willingness or Ability to Travel will be considered;
- Comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our client;
- Ability to follow electrical code manuals to perform maintenance and repair on industrial machinery and equipment;
- reliable Daily transportation is a MUST;
- 6 years of related industry experience;
- Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment.
