Lead Installer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lead Installer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Require crew to work sunrise to sunset with the intention of getting the project done as quick as possible without compromising safety;
- Load/unload materials on and off trucks;
- Perform site clean-up every day and tool checkin at the end of every shift or day in the field;
- Hire, train/mentor, or fire employees;
- Coordinate all travel plans with shop supervisor;
- Stage material on jobsite to maintain a steady, clean workflow;
- BOM responsibilities prior to shipping; must be accountable for all parts being loaded prior to shipping;
- Operate, maintain and care for forklifts, company trucks, machinery;
- Help or assist others with tasks in the field or in the shop;
- Install products in a safe, high quality, productive and profitable fashion in our customer’s homes.
Requirements:
- Have a flexible schedule;
- Understands instructions;
- At least 25 years old;
- Finish Carpentry skills preferred;
- Read a tape measure;
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more;
- At least 2 years experience in construction field;
- Organization and attention to detail;
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds;
- Keep a positive attitude and keep crew on the same mind set;
- Understand layouts using diagonals;
- Pass a drug screen upon hire and randomly throughout employment;
- Obtain a DOT physical for driving a work truck (under 26000 lbs);
- Must have a valid driver’s license;
- Previous installation experience is a plus.
