Lead Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts;
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment;
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests;
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance;
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results;
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
- Fill out daily paperwork;
- Maintain and improve all maintenance activities;
- Consistently meet time-sensitive goals;
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies;
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and HVAC systems through out the hotel;
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations;
- Perform any necessary repairs in any emergency setting;
- Operate and maintain hotel mechanical systems such as domestic water system, hot water systems, chilled water systems, pool systems;
- Assisting other maintenance technicians.
Requirements:
- Not required but preferred, basic welding and cutting skills;
- Be familiar with hand tools and power tools;
- Technical understanding and zeal;
- Knowledge of scrap is a plus;
- Basic understanding of electrical (480V) and PLC operation;
- Attention to detail;
- Basic safety knowledge & adherence to safety rules and regulations;
- Fixed equipment maintenance;
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and make decisions in a fast paced environment;
- Must have electrical and mechanical knowledge;
- 7+ years in Mechanical Maintenance;
- Enthusiastic and engaged mindset to get the job done;
- Must understand chiller operations;
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays;
- 4+ years of experience in a GMP environment.
