Lube Tech Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lube Tech to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Check and communicate oil level to other Teammates;
- Clean and lubricate fittings as needed;
- Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation;
- Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter;
- Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary;
- Complete vehicle inspection;
- Ensure that the service center is clean and presentable;
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs;
- Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds;
- Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive vehicles;
- Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs;
- Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops-off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required;
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards;
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired;
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance;
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles;
- One year of relevant experience preferred;
- Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive vehicles;
- Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds;
- Highly professional and dependable;
- High school diploma or GED preferred;
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
- Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Safety and customer service oriented;
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff;
- Basic computer and internet skills;
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
