Machine technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Machine technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with machine set-ups including installing/moving molds, tools and equipment;
- Moderate work – Exerting up to 40 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or 10 lbs force constantly to move objects;
- Assure all activities are performed safely;
- Communicate with other production operators and leaders;
- Responsible for Safety, Quality, and Productivity on your assigned Machines;
- Generate timely, consistent reports;
- Perform material handling functions and packing/palletizing when necessary;
- Learn to make basic process changes on machines;
- Responsible for operations and correct color mix;
- 3rd shift available, 8-12 hour shifts available;
- Produce high quality products on a consistent basis.
Requirements:
- 10-20 lbs. (8-10 hours);
- 50-100 lbs. (never);
- Standing (Constantly – 12 hours or more);
- Mechanical, electrical and/or pneumatic knowledge a plus;
- Lifting (Regularly/Constantly): 0-10 lbs. (8-10 hours);
- Walking (Constantly 12 hours or more);
- 20-50 lbs. (8-10 hours);
- Sitting (1-2 hours);
- Demonstrated practical mechanical or electrical/electronics repair experience preferred;
- Fundamental math, and good reading and writing skills;
- High school diploma or GED required.
