Our company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic C to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, verify and report down time for the assigned shift;
  • Diagnose and repair basic hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyor belts and central mixer components;
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
  • Remove defective part dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools;
  • Performs general labor as required, including landscaping/yard work, painting and general maintenance;
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments;
  • Communicate with management regarding condition of critical plant equipment to minimize down time;
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

Requirements:

  • Must have willingness to put in extra hours of work when necessary;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual highly preferred;
  • Possess a working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems;
  • Knowledge and experience with safety regulations, i.e. OSHA, MSHA, as they apply to the operation a plus;
  • Experience in the maritime, shipping port, dock, or cement/concrete industry highly preferred;
  • Experience in steel fabrication and welding highly preferred;
  • Experience in electrical panels and electrical machinery;
  • At least one year’s experience in industrial maintenance required;
  • Knowledge of varied types of motors and their operation highly preferred;
  • Must be able to read and understand complex drawings and manuals related to machinery and/or equipment;
  • Must have valid Utah driver’s license;
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs;
  • Must be forklift certified (completed once hired);
  • Must be able to complete work efficiently with no supervision on a night shift position.
