Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Industrial Mechanics and Troubleshooting;
- Coordinate Production and fellow Maintenance Associates to maximize machine utilization;
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and building equipment;
- Utilize electronic test equipment (including computers) as well as schematics and technical manuals;
- Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands on approach to problem solving;
- Perform duties in accordance with all Safety Procedures including those mandated by NFPA 70E;
- Experience with metal fabrication, welding a lathe a plus;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Perform planned and unscheduled work;
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders;
- Performs set-up, adjustment and timing of production equipment;
- Effectively diagnose problems, replace and/or repair and make needed adjustments;
- Communicate and document troubleshooting efforts as well as recommend solutions to the problem;
- Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain a clean and safe work area and follow proper lifting procedures;
- Make design improvements and process changes to improve overall production.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of burning and welding. •
- Knowledge of and direct or related experience of repair and maintenance of equipment, especially machinery used in the specialty steel industry. •
- Possess High School Diploma, G.E.D;
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including completing appropriate paperwork related to the job;
- Pneumatic, Hydraulic, YTE pertaining to Lathe and Milling Machine in order to Yield and Tensile Strength Testing;
- Must have full availability as schedules may change or rotate;
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment;
- Trained and forklift driving qualified;
- Be willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed;
- Must possess superb attitude, be highly motivated and have excellent attention to details;
- 1-2 years minimum experience is required;
- Team player that is highly disciplined with a strong work ethic;
- Excellent work history and attendance;
- Knowledge of electrical machine repair and maintenance is essential. •
- Pass basic math and color test.
