Our company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Industrial Mechanics and Troubleshooting;
  • Coordinate Production and fellow Maintenance Associates to maximize machine utilization;
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and building equipment;
  • Utilize electronic test equipment (including computers) as well as schematics and technical manuals;
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands on approach to problem solving;
  • Perform duties in accordance with all Safety Procedures including those mandated by NFPA 70E;
  • Experience with metal fabrication, welding a lathe a plus;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Perform planned and unscheduled work;
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders;
  • Performs set-up, adjustment and timing of production equipment;
  • Effectively diagnose problems, replace and/or repair and make needed adjustments;
  • Communicate and document troubleshooting efforts as well as recommend solutions to the problem;
  • Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain a clean and safe work area and follow proper lifting procedures;
  • Make design improvements and process changes to improve overall production.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of burning and welding. •
  • Knowledge of and direct or related experience of repair and maintenance of equipment, especially machinery used in the specialty steel industry. •
  • Possess High School Diploma, G.E.D;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including completing appropriate paperwork related to the job;
  • Pneumatic, Hydraulic, YTE pertaining to Lathe and Milling Machine in order to Yield and Tensile Strength Testing;
  • Must have full availability as schedules may change or rotate;
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment;
  • Trained and forklift driving qualified;
  • Be willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed;
  • Must possess superb attitude, be highly motivated and have excellent attention to details;
  • 1-2 years minimum experience is required;
  • Team player that is highly disciplined with a strong work ethic;
  • Excellent work history and attendance;
  • Knowledge of electrical machine repair and maintenance is essential. •
  • Pass basic math and color test.
