Maintenance Technician – Apartment Community Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Technician – Apartment Community to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of Appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers;
- Wall molding;
- Window screens and blinds;
- Minor drywall damages;
- Rodent control;
- Gutters, down spouts and connecting hoses;
- Resolve electrical, plumbing and appliance repair;
- Clean and inspect boiler and storage rooms;
- Removing bulk trash (including appliances);
- Toilets, sinks, vanities and disposals;
- Caulking;
- Prepare or complete service requests;
- Maintenance team support;
- Prepare and fulfill turnover checklists;
- Communicate with management about complaints or community violations.
Requirements:
- PLUS: Boiler License, HVAC, CPO, Universal CFC, other certifications;
- Measuring: Calipers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, testing meters, PH tests, gauges, etc;
- Prefer: 1+ years’ of maintenance experience;
- Bilingual language skills is a plus;
- Power Tools: Wrenches, grinders, sanders, drills, saws, etc;
- Personality & Characteristics: Able to solve problems, work with minimal supervision, outgoing, self-motivated, reliable, punctual;
- Hand Tools: Various wrenches, hammer, grips, saws, sledgehammer, snips, post hole diggers, etc;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb ladders;
- Ability to work day, weekend, and evening hours as required;
- Minimum 1-2 years of maintenance experience with apartment experience preferred;
- HVAC Certification a plus;
- General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service;
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally;
- Valid driver’s license.
