Our company is looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with outside contractors as necessary;
  • Install new machinery, overhaul equipment and rebuild and fabricate parts as required;
  • Carry out electrical and/or mechanical repairs and inspections as required to ensure equipment runs reliably in production;
  • Consistently maintain company safety and cleanliness standards in the production environment;
  • Assist maintenance personnel with plant maintenance as needed;
  • Maintenance/repair of building (utility, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, masonry,etc.);
  • Coordinate and supervise contracted work;
  • Monitor safety standards and complete scheduled inspections for all machines;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Assist with installation of capital equipment and electrical wiring systems in a safe, timely, and competent manner;
  • Participate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve products, reduce waste, or learn new skills or operations;
  • Keep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 6S standards;
  • Prepare project plans and project status reports, as required;
  • Implement and maintain the Company’s electronic asset management and maintenance record keeping system.

Requirements:

  • PLC knowledge and experience is a plus;
  • Ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit;
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize;
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, operation manuals, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting guides;
  • Must be able to communicate and handle conflict in a professional manner;
  • Basic Computer skills;
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints, both electrical and mechanical;
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC and CNC systems;
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production and facility equipment;
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems experience;
  • Strong mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure;
  • Bending/twisting waist, up to 2 hours per day (interruptive);
  • Bending/twisting neck, up to 2 hours per day (interruptive);
  • Walking, up to 10 hours per day (interruptive);
  • Sitting or Standing, up to 10 hours per day (interruptive).
