Mechanic Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned;
- Performs other duties as required;
- Maintain an organized and neat shop;
- Keep work and report logs on issues;
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues;
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner;
- Use various test equipment to measure parts and machine condition;
- Efficient in maintaining safety standards and monitoring company requirements;
- Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges;
- Assign duties to assistants;
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements;
- Overhaul and repair electric and fuel system engines;
- Plans work procedures using charts, technical manuals, and experience;
- Install cranes onto service body;
- Install service body on truck chassis.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license;
- Strong verbal communication skills;
- Company Matched 401K;

- Previous mechanical experience;
- Scientific Measurement Instumentation;
- Must have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics;
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;
- Line production experience a plus;
- Must have ability to work with chemicals, paints, and solvents;
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record is preferred;
- Yellow Iron experience;
- Ability to implement mechanical knowledge and skills;
- Specialized school is a plus;
- Own tools are required.
