Our company is looking for a Millwright to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Constructing the foundation for machines and equipment using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel;
  • Learning to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures;
  • Special Consideration will be given to those with experience working on automated lift systems and parking structures;
  • Special consideration given to candidates with experience operating, maintaining, constructing automated lift systems;
  • Candidate may be asked to travel to NYC for work on certain days of the week;
  • Pick up orders, stock, and supplies;
  • Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting;
  • Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area, prepare sales orders;
  • Required repair and lubricate machinery and equipment;
  • Selects cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved;
  • Sets up, braces, and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches;
  • Constructs foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, such as wood cement, and steel;
  • Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs;
  • Attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains, to crane hook;
  • May operate engine lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.

Requirements:

  • Drug free at all times;
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism;
  • Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;
  • Valve Repair;
  • Grouting;
  • Equipment Base Fabrication/Modification;
  • Alignment (Laser, Optical, Reverse);
  • Complete Equipment Overhauls;
  • Safety certifications preferred, but can be issued;
  • Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts is a plus;
  • Must be able to travel 80% of the time;
  • Must be able to work up to 80 hours a week;
  • Strong work ethic and reliability to complete all accepted assignments;
  • Properly rig equipment and machinery and direct crane operators on placement of same;
  • Willing and able to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment.
