Our company is looking for a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Open and Close repair orders on company issued iPad;
  • Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck;
  • Repair/Replace vehicle components;
  • Perform repairs and inspections on variety of Class 6-8 trucks, such as brakes, tires, wiring etc;
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in timely fashion;
  • Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on vehicles, along with DOT inspections;
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most SRT times;
  • Shift: M-F 7am-3:30pm;
  • Respond to off-site client requests as needed;
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures;
  • Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary;
  • Maintain general upkeep/maintenance of MSC;
  • Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles;
  • Performs other duties as required;
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license required;
  • Communication Skills;
  • Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions;
  • Proficient computer skills / software navigation capabilities to document repairs and use email;
  • CDL-A preferred but not required;
  • Experience with customer/client interaction in a dealership or garage setting;
  • 5+ years experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.);
  • Must have a flexible schedule;
  • Proven leadership skills and independent thinking;
  • Experience with light to heavy duty vehicles;
  • Experience with hino, international, and cummins preferred;
  • Must have valid Drivers License- Class C;
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly;
  • Proficient computer skills: k nowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email.
