PC Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a PC Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Escalates problems and requests as appropriate;
- May interface with third party vendors to resolve certain hardware/software problems;
- May contribute to desktop/laptop software evaluations and upgrades;
- Troubleshoots technical computing problems;
- Troubleshooting different computer issues;
- Lifting and moving new electronics;
- Ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved;
- Configure computer networks;
- Troubleshooting and solving technical issues related to end user equipment hardware and software;
- Diagnose and correct equipment failure and malfunctions and replace or repair malfunctioning equipment;
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware;
- Installing software or hardware;
- Basic hardware and Windows software troubleshooting;
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software;
- Accurately and timely document all support activities per approved policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of applicable work experience;
- Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013;
- Ability to work well as part of a team;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Experience working in a DoD environment;
- Prior USACE/ACE-IT experience;
- Must be able to obtain Interim Secret Clearance;
- Experience supporting Office 365;
- Ability to work well independently on defined tasks;
- Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I (examples include: A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security certifications);
- Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments;
- Strong analytical and follow through skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
