Our company is looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate any accidents, threats, downtime, or cost-saving measures to the shift supervisor;
  • Perform routine preventative equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, and service to ensure reliability and equipment uptime;
  • Assists personnel on special fabrication and construction projects;
  • Maintain, repair, and install plant equipment to OEM standards;
  • Assist other production and maintenance personnel as needed or requested;
  • Assists in the installation of new equipment;
  • Read and understand warnings, manuals, and wiring schematics;
  • Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times;
  • Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety and product quality;
  • Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements regarding environmental, and food/feed safety;
  • Attends regularly scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on Safety Committee;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures and improvement initiatives;
  • Follows preventative maintenance schedule;
  • Diagnosis and replacement of equipment parts with little or no direction.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment;
  • Drug free at all times;
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism;
  • Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our client;
  • Ability to maintain and service material handling equipment;
  • Ability to understand and operate basic computer systems;
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred;
  • Mechanically inclined and troubleshooting abilities;
  • HVAC/Refrigeration experience/certification, desired;
  • Ability to operate bobcats, forklifts, tractors, trucks, and Simons lift;
  • Ability to operate welders, torches, and cutters;
  • Experience in meat processing production, desired;
  • Boiler experience/certification, desired;
  • Ability to communicate and accurately maintains records.
