Our company is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete accurate work order reporting on a timely basis with SMS and SourceNA;
  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends;
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments;
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments;
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts;
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges;
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment;
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance;
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs;
  • Conduct other related assignments as needed;
  • Learn and gain expertise on new equipment and processes;
  • Complete preventive maintenance on CNC machinery and auxiliary equipment according to the planned schedule;
  • Organize and maintain maintenance areas and stockroom.

Requirements:

  • Good mechanical skills required;
  • Minimum Type I and II C.F.C. certification;
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills;
  • Able to form and execute a plan;
  • Mechanically astute and able to recognize and think through problems;
  • Maintenance degree or certification preferred;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Interact with on-site management; keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progression, and addressing their concerns in a professional manner;
  • Demonstrate proficiency by performance and/or certificates with basic mechanical aptitude and standard hand holds;
  • Experience in refrigeration pipefitting and installation;
  • N.A.T.E. certified for Core, preferred Specialty as well;
  • Show hands-on ownership of issues to achieve a timely resolution;
  • Material handling maintenance;
  • Must have basic welding skills required (Oxy / Acetylene, Mig and Arc);
  • Ability to speak effectively before Site Lead and customers or associates of organization.
