Our company is looking for a Quick Lube Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem;
  • Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates;
  • Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter;
  • Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first;
  • Comply with all safety guidelines and policies including the handling of hazardous waste and good housekeeping;
  • Complete all repairs and service orders accurately and in a timely manner per management guidelines;
  • Adhere to the Nelson Character Commitment (Good Attitude, Ability, Honesty, Loyalty);
  • Check tire pressure and add air if needed;
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
  • Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean;
  • Receive repair order from either the Service Salesman or the Production Foreman and proceed to service lift;
  • Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants;
  • Lubricate entire car while looking for other items which may need repair;
  • Document & quality check work performed;
  • Perform 27 point inspection on used vehicles & pre-delivery inspection on new stock units.

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
  • Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve;
  • ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred);
  • Basic Computer skills;
  • Friendly and positive attitude;
  • Knowledge of automobiles;
  • Must meet the performance standards;
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment screening (includes background check and drug screen);
  • A base knowledge of automobiles is preferred;
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
  • Customer service, computer & organizational skills;
  • Ability to read, analyze & interpret technical procedures;
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality;
  • Drug screen required;
  • Excellent customer service skills.
